The obvious solution to keeping Vietnam Veterans Organizations up and running is in the hands of our Agent Orange Surviving Wives. In five years, most VFW's and VVA's (all Vet org.) will be headed by and ran by the brides of Vietnam Veterans. I can see it now, VVA becomes VVAW, and that is how our voice and our spirit will continue into the near future. Much thanks to our Women, our Brides
I must have been exposed while hanging out with several thousand Vietnam Agent Orange victims along with their wives at the five events I've attended in the past 2 months of July and August. Several observations that are playing with the mental health of all Veterans Groups. everywhere in America and for that matter, any where Vietnam Veterans meet worldwide. Groups are facing a serious question? 'What happens as Vietnam Veterans continue our head-long fall, down the throat of mass genocide, which, continues unabated and chapter after chapter of this group or post after post of that group, doesn't matter, all are fearful that The Vietnam Veteran population is, plain and simple, dying off, at an alarming rate. The living are asking a hard question, who will remember?!!
My chapter of VVA can't muster a Color Guard. VFW's are sharing meeting sits. This is causing a strange kind of fear.
No,,, not fear, but what I'm seeing in the eyes of both men and women, profound sadness. Our main and only support group, US VETS, is slipping through the wire and fading away with only a wimper, of why. WHY us! ?? This watching each other die-off is suffocating.
Our organizations can't make a month, 30 days until next meeting without announcing another Agent Orange (nerve gas-would have made hitler proud) death.
The fear that anything about Vietnam, remembering anything will simply, just go away, and disappear without any mention. Similar to the almost no media coverage of Dec 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor Day, in 2019. Less is less is less, till, puff, there's left, nothing. Lots of silence.
A major consideration for writing "Noble Canine", was, TO CHRONICLE DAY TO DAY LIFE as a Sentry Dog Handler.so that, what we did as handlers of the Noble German Shepherd in Vietnam is not lost to time. That records exists that chronicles training and night to night life of dog teams. Now my strongest desire is to image, create and invent "Noble Canine" THE MOVIE.
My busy July and August meetings I got to see a lot of Vietnam Veterans and their beautiful Brides. I have a special interest in the Wives, some are very active in the VVA Auxiliary. I don't often set through these meetings, a huge waste of time. I always end up feeling like I'm being scammed. Most of the people listening know its fake, but set through for fear they may miss something important.
As our numbers grow fewer, the 'walking dead' will openly mourn.
Question???How does a whole army of Veterans just disappear!!?Is our silents , our acceptance, our permission?
Question???Will the few fighting to stay alive, the few remaining, will they roll over and just die, or will HE stand?
Question???Is freedom worth the price of $AO$...NO??!
What happens as most members, die off, and chapter after chapter have to close their doors? A VFW Post Commander recently told me how his Post meets at another VFW Hall, due to fewer and fewer members.
In my twenty years of membership in Vietnam Dog Handlers Assoc., I've watched as our reunions were attended by few women. In time that began to change and more women began to accompanying their husbands to reunions and more and more of these wives, our brides started attending more and more of our meetings. Today, at Vietnam Veteran reunions, its mostly; a veteran and his wife. Most Vietnam Veterans cannot function without some sort of assisting, to her Veteran.

AND MEN, listen up!? WE Veterans MUST REACH OUT AND EMBRACE THIS CONCEPT OF WOMEN LEADERSHIP OR ALL THINGS VIETNAM WILL...DISAPPEAR?!?
Any group that represents military veterans is faced with its own extinction. Women see's the future of her childrens-children and grand children, (left) in her hands and the living must protect the future of the young.
I call on the current male leadership in ALL veterans group to prepare the way for this change to take place and to allow it to flourish.
Some men will have a problem excepting this great a roll for women's involvement in running the show. Better minds then this one have been burning a lot of midnight computer time trying to figure out how to keep the doors open and the Vietnam Veteran commodity viable. Agent Orange is a bitch. Our Wives are the future. We men have no future!
Whether you agree or not, we are the 'walking dead' and a very loud clock is ticking, and the Twilight Zone is the home to our ghost. Men be nice and invite 'our better-halves' in to play and to lead. The time is upon us.
